Three-Step Behaviour Process

Step 1 – Restorative Conversation

If a child displays unacceptable behaviour, they will have a restorative conversation with one of our coaches.

A restorative conversation is a calm, supportive discussion that helps the child reflect on what happened, how their actions affected others, and what they can do differently next time. The focus is on learning, understanding, and restoring positive relationships — not punishment.

Example questions might include:

• “What happened?”

• “How were others affected?”

• “What can we do to make things right?”

• “How can we make sure this doesn’t happen again?”

Step 2 – Verbal Warning

If the behaviour continues after the restorative conversation, the child will receive a verbal warning from a coach. This is a clear and final reminder that the behaviour needs to change immediately.

Step 3 – Contacting Parents / Going Home

If the behaviour happens again, parents or guardians will be contacted, and the child will be sent home for the remainder of the day.

If the child is booked into the camp on a following day, they are welcome to attend; however, if the same behaviour occurs again, a further call will be made to parents and the child may be asked to leave the camp.

Refunds and Camp Ratios

Please note that no refunds or exchanges can be made in these circumstances. Our coaches are employed based on pre-booked attendance and child-to-coach ratios.
